These Saint Laurent heels would go with just about everything in my wardrobe. Problem is, they cost a mere three-fourths of my monthly rent payment. Zara of course promptly came out with a version at a fraction of the price, but are they slightly off? The back tip does not sit as high on the ankle and this just seems to add to the sensuality of the shoe. I blame this obsession with design and perfection on my OCD tendencies. As a stylist, I cannot help but notice the tiny seemingly insignificant details. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge believer in buying investment pieces that never go out of style and will last you years, but I take a deep breath and contemplate not eating for a week. This does not seem normal! As an artist, I want to support the designer, but then Zara always comes out with something so so similar and I can lead a normal healthy life while maintaining a balanced bank account. What do you think?? Is it better to splurge on classic pieces or buy the knock off?
